Ochre Education is changing its name to Impact Curriculum in September 2026.
Free curriculum resources for every Australian teacher
Impact Curriculum is a free library of sequenced, knowledge-rich, evidence-based teaching resources, built by teachers for teachers.
It covers English, Maths, Science and Humanities from Foundation to Year 10, aligned to national and state curricula – giving schools a coherent, ready-to-teach curriculum they can adapt to their students and context.
Our core curriculum resources will remain free. Forever.
Built by teachers
Nearly 700 practising teachers and subject matter experts from across Australia have created Impact Curriculum resources. Teachers are carefully selected, trained and supported, and bring direct classroom experience to every lesson. Resources are roadtested in Australian classrooms, evaluated and refined.
Designed for Australian classrooms
Resources are aligned to National and State curricula, with clear guidance throughout. Carefully designed to allow for intelligent adaptation to meet school, classroom and diverse student needs. Supporting teachers to focus on responsive teaching.
Knowledge-rich curriculum
Resources are aligned to national and State curricula, with clear guidance throughout. An ambitious curriculum supporting high expectations for all. A coherent whole-school curriculum, where learning is deliberately sequenced and mapped. Knowledge and vocabulary rich so that students become successful lifelong learners.
Evidence-informed
Comprehensive and detailed, containing all the key materials to teach a subject over a year, including assessments.
Our materials apply evidence-informed best practice on the most effective and efficient teaching practices aligned with how students learn. They support explicit teaching as a powerful practice, aligned with the Australian Education Research Organisation’s ‘Teaching for how students learn: A model of learning and teaching’.
Our curriculum resources
- Daily review and spaced practice strengthen recall and fluency over time to maximise retention and consolidation of learning.
- Every lesson opens with clear intentions and success criteria, alongside explicit review of the prior knowledge students need to access new learning.
- A structured, sequenced and appropriately paced approach to explicitly teaching new content. Breaks down complex skills and knowledge into smaller instructional tasks to manage students' cognitive load.
- Explanation, demonstration and modelling support students to develop and demonstrate mastery of their learning, through fully explaining what students need to learn, using frequent examples and non-examples, demonstrating and thinking aloud, and using worked examples to provide appropriate scaffolding.
- Regular opportunities for practising new learning are embedded throughout every lesson.
- Lessons move between guided and independent practice to support students in attaining mastery at their own pace.
- Frequent checks for understanding are built into every lesson, to help determine what students know and can do, identify gaps in their learning, and adjust teaching to meet their needs.
Our core curriculum resources will remain free. Forever.
