Co-CEO message
This year feels different. Across Australia, something is shifting in how we think about teaching and learning. There is a strengthened focus on the evidence-based supports, tools and practices that genuinely help school leaders and teachers to thrive, and children and young people to reach their full potential through learning.
We're proud that Impact Teaching Group is part of that shift.
Since we began Ochre Education in 2021, our mission has been to drive equity in Australian education by supporting great teaching, everywhere. This mission remains the same, and will always be the core of what we do. What has changed is the scale and depth of what we can offer.
In 2025, our resources reached 92% of Australian schools and our user base grew by 71% to over 154,000 teachers. We created 4,350 new lessons, which is more than in any previous year. 89% of Australia's most disadvantaged schools now have at least one teacher who has accessed Ochre resources, and teachers tell us they're saving close to three hours every week.
Behind those numbers sits a bigger story. With the formation of Impact Teaching Group, we now bring together curriculum (Ochre Education, soon to be Impact Curriculum), instruction (Teach Well) and assessment (Impact Assessment). These three connected pillars are the core practices that matter to leaders and teachers every day in their classrooms.
Our 10-year partnership with the Tasmanian Government, our work with MACS, CECG, CESL and NCEC, and our ACE pilot in the Northern Territory and Western Australia all reflect a deepening commitment to schools serving students who need us most.
None of this would be possible without our partners and funders, who have backed this work with commitment, vision and trust. Above all, we want to thank the teachers and school leaders who put these supports and resources into practice every day.
Your craft, your care and your willingness to keep learning alongside us is what makes any of this real. Thank you also to our brilliant team, whose expertise and dedication sit behind every lesson, every assessment and every program we deliver.
Australia's young people deserve an education system that gives every one of them choice and opportunity to be who they want, and to support our communities in what they need. We're determined to keep building it, together.
