Introducing Impact Teaching Group

Ochre Education is now Impact Teaching Group
Announcement

We have some exciting news to share. We’re announcing the creation of the Impact Teaching Group (ITG).

The Impact Teaching Group (ITG) brings together our work across curriculum, pedagogy and assessment. Together, we address the instructional core – what is taught, how it’s taught, and how learning is measured and improved – to support teachers and schools across Australia. We pay particular attention to schools serving students experiencing disadvantage.

The new ITG will bring together Ochre Education – our Not-For-Profit free curriculum resource library – and our existing for-purpose organisations Teach Well and Impact Assessment.

NfP Ochre Education wholly owns Teach Well and Impact Assessment. Revenue from both is reinvested into Ochre’s charitable mission to provide free, high-quality curriculum resources to every Australian teacher.

To better reflect our new Impact Teaching Group identity, from September 2026 Ochre Education will be renamed Impact Curriculum.

Why we’re making this change

Since Ochre Education was founded in 2021, our work has grown significantly. What began as a free curriculum resource library has expanded to include:

  • Teach Well, to support teachers to implement high-impact instructional practices
  • Impact Assessment, to give schools a high-quality, low-cost platform to benchmark student progress and address gaps in learning.

These three organisations have always shared a common purpose – to strengthen instructional support for schools and school systems by providing a high-quality, high-excellence education system. ITG brings them together under a shared identity that reflects the full scope of what we do.

When it’s changing

The change will roll out in three stages across 2026.

Stage 1 – June 2026

The new ITG website is now live.

Stage 2 – Late September 2026

Ochre Education will be renamed Impact Curriculum, with the change reflected in an updated website. All existing links will be redirected – no one will lose access to any resources.

Stage 3 – From late September 2026

Branding across our 35,000+ resources will be updated progressively to ensure continuity and avoid disruption to schools using our materials.

The only change to any resource will be the branding. Schools are welcome to continue using current Ochre-branded materials within their classrooms.

What's not changing

Our name and structure are evolving, but our people, purpose, and quality of our work remain exactly the same.

Our core curriculum resources offered through Ochre Education (renamed as Impact Curriculum) - a registered Not-for-profit organisation - will remain free, forever.

Revenue from Teach Well, Impact Assessment, and Impact Curriculum’s premium offerings are invested into creating, maintaining and improving our free core resources.
